Astfel femeile din sat sunt nevoite sa indeplinească sarcinile efectuate in mod traditional de sotii si logodnicii lor. Singurul barbat ramas in sat, preotul Rafael (Oscar Nuñez), ajunge sa creada ca este de datoria lui sa le lase insarcinate pe femeile din sat. Un jurnalist american, Gordon (Christian Slater), ajunge in localitate pentru a scrie un articol despre acel subiect neobisnuit si incepe o aventura cu Rosalba.
